Patron of orists, the Latin Americas, and of the resolution of family quarrels

Rose was the rst saint from Latin America. She was called Rose because of her great natural beauty. But Rose rejected vanity and through acts of self-morti cation, she devoted herself to God. It was said that she glowed with joy when she spoke of her love for Jesus. She joined the Order of St. Dominic and suffered greatly for the sake of sinners. Many miracles of healing and spiritual restoration are ascribed to St. Rose’s intercession.
